There are already so many thoughts on this particular topic. It is a problem that so many people struggle with, but less and less silently. I like that people are talking about it. I am not sure though the solution is for all of us to start showing how we are living more and more analog.
For me, personally, I’ve found it partly lies in the idea of ‘being perceived’. The idea that we need to share everything we’re doing. All the books you read, all the dishes you make, the coffee dates you have with friends, all your knitting projects, etc. And sometimes it is really fun to do so, but sometimes there is also a lot of freedom in not documenting every single thing you do. Just reading the book because you wanted to read it. Just working on a craft project, just because. Not documenting, so no photo to share on Instagram. No story to post, so no risk of getting sucked into endless reels scrolling.
